We boast one of the largest fleets of large capacity Mazak machining centres in the UK, capable of machining components up to 1200 x 800 x 1000mm, holes to ± 5 microns dia, 3 micron / 100mm straightness and roundness to 3 microns with a diameter to depth ratio of x 38. Processes also include bi-metal machining and high speed machining using PCD (polycrystalline diamond) tooling.

All tooling information is retained via our in house network on a database (Sandvik Autotas)

To achieve maximum efficiency of tool usage Urbanhurst invested in the Mazak CPC software system. This permits real time tool monitor and tracking throughout the plant. The outcome ensures that the correct tool is in the right place at the right time.
